In addition to providing a forum for Ontario associations to develop coordinated square, round and clog dance promotional activities, the Federation's programs include:  

• Provision of a forum for Ontario area associations to develop coordinated square and round dance promotional activities;

• Administration of the Trillium Award Program to recognize outstanding contributions of Ontario dancers, callers and leaders.  This consists of the Trillium Merit Award and the Trillium Long Service Award;

• Provision of Directors and Officers liability insurance for clubs and organizations;

• Provision of third party liability protection insurance for individual and organization members;

• Provision of free membership to new dancers in a new dancer class;

• Provision of Bursaries to caller, cuers, or leaders;

• Provision of a Leadership Grant Program to assist organizations in holding caller/leader training courses;

• Publication of Information Sheets for guidance to clubs and dancers;

• Representation of Ontario square and round dancers outside the Province;

• Representation of Ontario square and round dancers to government agencies; and.

• Representative on the Canadian Square & Round Dance Society Board of Directors.

The Annual General Meeting of the Federation is held starting at 9:00 AM on the Friday during the Toronto & District International S&RD Convention. The meeting is open to all.

The work of the Ontario Federation is supported by membership fees paid by individuals and organizations. 

Membership in the Ontario Square and Round Dance Federation is open to organizations or individuals participating in square, round, line, contra, clog, country/western, or related dancing. 

The Federation's membership fee is $2.00 + 50 cent Administration fee (Total $2.50) per individual (dancer, caller, cuer, or leader) and $5.00 per organization (club, group, or association). The fee sent to the Canadian S&RD Society  provides membership and liability protection insurance. Fees for an individual only need to be paid once, regardless of the number of clubs at which the individual dances. Membership year is from January 1 to December 31.
